It is a great pleasure to share with our school community that our school and school leadership team (school improvement team) consisting of Asami Onda, Krystal Ryan, Takako Morita, Miharu Morioka and myself are finalists for the 2025 Victorian Education Excellence Awards - Dr Lawrie Shears Outstanding Global Teaching and Learning Award. This is a wonderful achievement and recognition of the work undertaken and the work of our leaders to continue to invest in high quality teaching and learning as a designated bilingual primary school. The school was shortlisted as a finalist after a nomination period, written application and interview process and we join Albert Park College and Yuille Park Community College as finalists in this category.
The 2025 VEEA finalists are published on the VEEA website.
I extend my congratulations to our leadership team for the work that is undertaken throughout our school, much of which is not seen by our students or families but directly benefits our pedagogical approach and our instructional methods. It is great validation for the work the school has done over the last 12 months. We are the only bilingual school nominated in this field and the only primary school that was shortlisted for this award.
